SASP is going to Hartfort CT this June! See Lisa Grover if you have questions.
Monday 8:30-4:30 @ St. Peter's Tuesday 8:30-4:30 @ St. Ambrose
Thursday 8:30-4:30 @ St. Peter's
Friday 8:30-4:30 @ St. Ambrose
Every Sunday during Lent I'll be hosting a Youth Ministry virtual get together. Hopefully as we get closer to April they could even become in person! Please note the time change, this week we'll be meeting at 4pm, so we'll be done by dinner time.
As a reminder this is NOT religious education, this is a time for the "teens" of our church to come together, play some games, have some fun, and support one another in our faith journeys. I hope many of you will be able to make it!

Hello all!
It's been a while since we've been together as a "Youth Ministry" group, though we've gathered 12 or so for our Confirmation classes. This year we're going to try and center our Youth Ministry gatherings around the Corporal Works of Mercy.
We have the opportunity for a service project at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Bristol, which would fall under the "Bury the Dead" Corporal work of mercy. Craig Scribner and Dave Lathrop are long time caretakers of this cemetery, they would like some help cutting cedars trees and hauling the brush away. Mostly the hauling the brush part. Also if we're able to gather a large enough crew, several grave sites need top soil added to level them out.
Good weather is in short supply these days, and they'd like to get these projects completed before the snow falls. So I'm thinking either the weekend of October 24th/25th or Sunday November 1st.
What better way to honor our dead on All Souls day, than by maintaining their eternal resting place? Please let me know your availability!
Lisa
Good morning all,
Late yesterday afternoon I received and email from the Catholic Heart Work Camp offices. They have officially shut down ALL camps for the summer of 2020. I'm sure this was a very hard decision to make, but I think we can all agree that it was the correct one.
What this means for us: We will not be traveling out of state this summer. However the Diocese of Burlington is (as of this morning) still planning to host Totus Tuus and Vermont Catholic Youth Serve. I HIGHLY ENCOURAGE everyone to plan to attend these events.
Totus Tuus at St. Ambrose: July12th-July 17th
VT Catholic Youth Serve (Weekend in Burlington): July 30th-August 1st (entering 9th grade and up)
CHWC is going to hold onto the money we've already sent them and apply it to a camp for summer 2021. This can be applied to any camp, so we can decide if we still want to go to Charlotte, or something closer to home.
I'm sad that the trip is cancelled, but relieved that a decision has been made!
I miss all of you so very much, I pray everyday that you're all getting through this alright. If anyone needs to talk, or you'd like to have a virtual get together please let me know. Please keep a look out for our SASP Quarantine Challenges.
Blessings,
Lisa
14 teens from St. Ambrose and St. Peter's parishes embarked on a Mission Trip to Cumberland MD on June 15th 2019. Teens attended a week long Catholic Heart Work Camp (heartworkcamp.com/). This trip gave our teens the opportunity to experience life outside their Vermont community. They worked in economically depressed areas surrounding Cumberland MD. Tasks included home repair, painting, yard work, elder/child care, etc. The unique aspect of this camp is that it is Catholic. Attendees celebrated daily Mass, had the opportunity to attend Reconciliation, and pray together. Thank you for supporting our trip!
